The Discipleship Training School (DTS) is a six month, two part, Christian course designed to help you grow and equip your walk with God. The purpose of DTS is to increase your intimate relationship with Him, so you can live out a missional lifestyle wherever you are in the world.

We at YWAM Osaka strive to equip and train those called to Japan and the rest of the world. We offer one type of DTS, a DTS with electives.

The Discipleship Training School (DTS) is a sixth-month, discipleship course which serves as an introduction to global missions. and consists of 2 phases.

Lecture Phase

During this phase, speakers from all around the world come and teach on different topics every week. It challenges you to dive deeper into your relationship with God. Topics include: evangelism, worship, prayer and intercession, hearing God's voice, spiritual warfare, and relationships. The goal is to allow God to change your life based on what you're learning and not have it just be head-knowledge.

Outreach Phase:

This phase allows you to put into practice everything you just learned and to share the good news of Jesus Christ cross-culturally. Outreach will provide you with a glimpse of cross-cultural missions as your team serves alongside local believers, existing ministries, and long-term missionaries.

Art Track

As part of the Art Track we come alongside you to help you understand God's role in your creative process and help you grow in your artistic abilities.

Sports Track

Our goal is to use the shared loved of sports to create community, overcome barriers, build healthy relationships, enjoy creation, and make Jesus known. We will explore topics such as good sportsmanship, creating culture, and championing others. We will also be joining some local sports clubs in practicing volleyball, soccer and rugby. We will hear from other Christians in the sphere of sports and have opportunities to share and grow together. Students will also be able to join a local gym (optional).
